Mortgage Rates Slashed Further
The Monetary Policy Committee have today confirmed that they have slashed Bank Base Rate by a further 1% to now stand at just 2%.

For many who took out mortgages at the height of the housing boom, having an interest only mortgage was considered not a problem. After all, property prices were rising, it made the payments more affordable and the plan was to pay back the loan either via bonus payments or the eventual sale of the property.
